Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is submitted to the independent provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you send a message, we receive the information in that message and use it to respond.
Automatically Collected Technical Data
Hosting services may create normal logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of access. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the site, diagnose problems, measure traffic, and improve the guide. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Websites
The guide links to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. A destination site controls information submitted there under its own terms and privacy policy. That includes sponsored search results supplied by an outside company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server logs for the site. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic technical data described above. Information is disclosed when required by valid legal process and not otherwise.
Safeguards
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational needs described above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by this site.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, use the contact page so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on scope and eligibility, the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, P.L. 2023, c.266, N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.4 et seq., provides rights related to certain private data practices, including access, correction, deletion, and opt-outs. Because the site keeps very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by New Jersey, Ocean County, or Lacey Township remain under the control of the agency custodian; OPRA, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., does not turn this site into that custodian.
Policy Updates
Updates to this policy will appear on this page. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
